PRE-QUALIFICATION

The first step in house hunting is getting “pre-qualified or pre-approved” so that you know how much you can afford to spend.  It is also a chance to speak to a lender to ask them all of your financial questions including monthly payment amounts.  Here are a few lenders that I have had the privilege to work with over the years whom I trust.  You may contact one or more of these as well as any lender that you are familiar with; perhaps someone at the bank where you normally do business.  A pre-qualification letter should not cost you anything but a few minutes of your time to give the necessary information to the loan officer.  Then they can email both me and you a copy of the letter.  This can usually be done within 24 hours.

**Statistics show that 1 out of 4 people have at least 1 mistake on their credit report.  This process also gives you the opportunity to find those possible mistakes and get a head start on getting them corrected so that they do not cause you to face higher mortgage interest rates!
